Our associations are so important in our life.   The people that we associate with will make one of the biggest determinations in where we are going with our life.   If we associate with "losers", then we will end up being losers ourselves.   If we associate with good people, then we will be a good person.   If we associate with rich people then we will become rich.  It seems to me that we need to get people into our lives who are already where we want to be.   Those types of people are the ones that will push to make us better and help us to get where we want to be.

I really like what John Mason, author and public speaker, said during one of his speaking engagements.   "If you lie down with dogs, you will rise up with flees.  If you run with wolves, you will learn how to howl.   And if you fly with the eagles, you will learn to soar to great heights."   That is so true.   One of the other things he mentioned is that you should never associate with someone because you agree on negatives.   Getting together with people and talking about negative things only breads negativity itself.

If you want to be successful, you need to spend time with successful people.   Do you think that Donald Trump spends his time sitting around with the bum under the overpass?  No!   He spends his time associating with other successful people.  So why shouldn't your or I spend our time with other people that are successful?
